Penrith Anglican College holds a Book Parade to coincide with National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS). NSS is held annually to promote literacy and reading, as well as supporting Australian authors and illustrators. This year it was held on Wednesday 24 May.

NSS is run by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). A book is chosen every year that is written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator and the book is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, pre-schools, family day cares, childcare centres, family homes, bookshops and many other places around the country.

The Book Parade is always a highlight on the College calendar, with students and staff dressing up as their favourite book characters or book theme. It's a great community event with parents attending to see their hard work in action!
