An opportunity to deepen
faith and understanding.
We offer regular Christian groups that provide students across the Primary and Senior School the opportunity to meet and encourage each other in their faith and deepen their understanding of God and his plans for the world.
These groups are:
- BIG: Students in Years 3 to 6
- ROCK: Students in Years 7 to 9
- Senior ROCK for students in Years 10 to 12
The groups meet at lunch times once a week and follow programs which may include: looking at a book or letter from the Scriptures, investigating topics which are raised by the Bible, Q&A sessions based on information from the Bible or questions from our cultural moment, along with fun activities, singing and food.
Senior ROCK also provides students with the opportunity to grow in leadership skills. The senior students have a vital role in encouraging and mentoring younger students who attend Junior ROCK to grow in their understanding of who Jesus is and build relationships with Him and each other.
A highlight of the year for students in Years 7 to 12 is the annual ROCK Camp, which is run over three days.
The Chapel Committee is a new initiative which invites students who are keen to have input into the way Chapels are run and structured to participate. Students who join the committee receive regular training on how to effectively run a large Christian gathering and are involved in running several Chapels throughout the year.
